What is a Photo Tour?

If you are a lover of photography, with photographic journeys you can finally unite your two passions: Photography and Travel.

Our trips are suitable for any type of client.

It doesn’t matter what level of knowledge you have of photography, whether you are a beginner or an expert.

Imagine traveling to those countries you’ve always dreamed of visiting and enjoying taking pictures that will make your experiences live on in an incredible way.

In our photographic trips you will always be accompanied by an expert photographer, apart from knowing the destination we are going to visit, he is a professional photographer who will transmit his knowledge to you during the days that the phto tour lasts.

You will travel in small groups stopping at key locations, to get the best frames, in the best moments of light.

You will be able to take spectacular pictures with different types of light: sunrises, sunsets, etc. and you will be able to take the necessary time to make them perfect.

How to book a trip?

You can fill out the form on each trip.

At the time of booking, a deposit must be made.

How far in advance should I book?

The general rule is: As soon as possible.

Our groups are small, maximum 8 travelers.

We have no way of knowing when other people will book, so it is difficult to know if the tour will fill up quickly.

Our advice is to book as soon as you make the decision to travel, that way your place will be secured.

When is the final payment made?

The final payment is usually due 45 days before the start of the trip.

If you have booked your trip within 45 days of the departure date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Last minute reservations require payment in advance before confirmation.

How many people travel in the group?

Our groups are small, with a maximum of 8 members.

We think that for a photographic trip, it is much better to travel in a small group, so the attention is much more personalized and quality.

What kind of training is there during the trip?

A professional photographer will always be present on our trips.

His task is to advise each member of the group individually, regardless of their level of photographic knowledge.

What should I bring for one of your photo trips?

The clothes you will need will depend largely on the destination you are travelling to.

We will provide a complete list of suggested clothing and equipment in our welcome kit that we send to all tour participants.

Our general recommendation is to dress in layers and pack as lightly as possible. Try to stay away from heavy cotton clothing such as jeans, sweatshirts and coats. Lighter alternatives that are warm, wrinkle-free and lightweight are the best option.

What is the most appropriate type of luggage to carry?

We suggest a camera bag, preferably a backpack and a suitcase for clothes/equipment.

Since we have to use buses, trains, stairs, etc., try to pack smartly and lightly.

Can you help me process my travel visas?

Requirements for international travel visas vary widely, depending on your nationality and destination.

Although we cannot obtain the visa ourselves, we will provide you with links to companies that offer this service, and make it easier for you to obtain it.

What photographic equipment do I need to take on the trip?

It depends a bit on the level of photographic knowledge you have.

There are travellers who carry professional equipment and others who only carry their mobile phone.

Anyway, if you have any doubt about the equipment to take or buy, send us an e-mail and we will inform you with pleasure.

Do I have to take out Travel and Medical Insurance?

Medical and travel insurance is mandatory for all Namaste Photo Tours tours.

But the good news is that in all our trips, a complete travel and medical insurance is included.

Do I need to be in good physical shape?

Our trips are designed to be enjoyed by anyone who is reasonably fit.

However, some trips visit remote areas with limited or no medical facilities, so you should be in good health.

Factors such as hiking, rough roads, dust, traffic, stairs, humidity, delays, unfamiliar customs and cultures also add to the physical cost.

Do I need to bring any medical supplies?

The pre-departure information will contain a suggested list of items to bring, but does not include medications.

We recommend that you bring personal medical items for the treatment of common minor illnesses such as colds, diarrhea, blisters, headaches, heartburn, sore throat, etc.

Is there an age limit?

Minors between 13 and 17 years old cannot participate in our tours, unless accompanied by their parents.

Our tours are not suitable for children under 13.

Are international flights included?

International flights are not included in any of our trips.

We will advise you, which is the most suitable flight to reach your destination.

Do I need to tip the local guide?

Our local guides work hard to ensure you have a great trip, so please don’t stop if you feel you have earned a tip for your efforts.

You can choose to tip individually or to take a group boat at the end of the visit.

It is not necessary to tip the Photo Tour leader, but if you feel the need to do so, please do not hesitate.

Each leader can choose to politely accept or reject your tip.

What forms of communication will be available?

The forms of communication are always improving worldwide. Many hotels and public places have Wi-Fi, so it is usually possible to keep in touch with home every other day, if you wish.

In remote places (for example, in the Omo Valley in Ethiopia, in the countryside of Burma or in the desert of Namibia) , you will not be able to communicate so easily.

Usually, your leader will let you know before you leave a location so you can send a quick email or two.

Phone cards are easy to get; just make sure your phone is unlocked before you travel.

If you have any questions that are not answered here, fill out the form and we will contact you as soon as possible, thank you!
