Namaste Photo Tours is proud to present our Uganda Photo Safari, which will take you to some of the most exciting wildlife destinations in this wonderful country, known as the "Pearl of Africa" by Winston Churchill.
We will begin our adventure in search of the iconic shoebill, an inhabitant of the great swamps of central Africa and one of the most sought-after birds in the world. We will then head to the Kibale Forest in search of our closest living relatives, the chimpanzees. Here we will walk the gentle slopes in search of these intelligent creatures.
We will continue our expedition in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a vast reserve with impressive landscapes of craters, vast savannahs, tropical forests and large herds of Elephants, Buffalo and Uganda Kobs, as well as the region's famous tree-climbing Lions.
Finally, we will visit the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you will have the opportunity to photograph the amazing Mountain Gorilla.

HIKING IN SEARCH OF GREAT APES
Chimpanzee trekking - over the course of two chimpanzee treks and one habituation trek in Kibale National Park, we will have the opportunity to observe our closest ancestors in their daily activities. Mountain Gorilla Trekking - we will participate in 2 Gorilla treks in the beautiful Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and upon arrival at the Gorillas, we will spend a maximum of 1 hour with our designated family.
TREE-CLIMBING LIONS AND A GREAT DIVERSITY OF OTHER WILDLIFE.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to a wide variety of habitats and consequently has a huge list of mammals and birds. We will cruise the Kazinga Channel, famous for the huge aggregations of birds that line the banks along with buffalo, hippo and elephant, but we will stay in the Ishasha sector of the park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. The Isasha savannas are also home to other species, such as Uganda kob, topi, spotted hyena and leopard.

DAY 1 (19-08-23): ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE
We will be waiting for you at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) upon your arrival.
After a long drive, we will take you to your accommodation, the Entebbe Protea Lodge, where you can relax and unwind.
DAY 2 (20-08-23): NP MURCHISON FALLS - RHINO TREKKING
We will begin our exciting journey to Murchison Falls National Park early in the morning from Entebbe. On our way, we will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we will have the opportunity to see the first of the Big 5. This sanctuary works to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda, and a specialized guide will accompany us to take us on a walk to see and photograph them in their natural habitat.
After this incredible experience, we will continue our journey to the lodge in Murchison Falls National Park. There, we will enjoy a delicious lunch while admiring the breathtaking views of the park and its surroundings.
In the afternoon, we will go on an exciting photographic safari in search of the area's wildlife, which includes elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes and many other animal species. We will also have the opportunity to explore the majestic Murchison Falls, which is one of the park's main attractions.
After a day full of emotions, we will stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge, a place where we can relax and enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds us. The lodge has first class facilities and exceptional service, which will allow us to enjoy a luxury safari experience in the middle of nature.
DAY 3 (08-21-23): NILE RIVER PHOTO SAFARI & MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
We will start early in the morning with an exciting photo safari on the Nile River, which will take us along its banks to the base of the impressive falls. During the tour, we will be able to observe hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and a wide variety of beautiful bird species that inhabit the area. The safari will last three hours, enough time to enjoy the majesty of the river and capture amazing photographs.
After the safari, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a well-deserved rest and a delicious lunch in a quiet and cozy environment.
In the afternoon, we will enter the spectacular Murchison Falls National Park for another photographic safari. This park is home to fascinating animals such as big cats, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and many other species of mammals, which can be spotted as we travel the park's trails. The list of mammals in the park reaches 76, making it a must-see destination for wildlife lovers.
We will finish our photo safari day at Pakuba Safari Lodge, where we will be able to relax and enjoy the nature around us, as well as share our experiences of the day with other travelers.
DAY 4 (08-22-23): TRANSFER TO KIBALE RAINFOREST NATIONAL PARK
After a delicious breakfast, we will take a long drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Although it is a long drive, we will stop at villages and scenic spots along the way to make the journey more bearable, and our goal is to have lunch at Fort Portal .
Once we arrive at the Kibale Forest National Park, we will check into our lodge, the beautiful Guereza Canopy Lodge, located in an area with an enchanting landscape and a large number of primates that we will be able to observe in their natural habitat. The natural beauty of the place and the variety of primate species will take our breath away.
We will have the afternoon free to relax and explore the lodge's surroundings, an unforgettable experience in the middle of nature!
DAY 5 (08-23-23): CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN KIBALE FOREST AND TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
We will start our day early in the morning by heading into the impressive Kibale forest for an exciting trek with chimpanzees, our closest cousins in the animal kingdom. This three-hour trek will be an unforgettable experience where we will have the opportunity to meet the chimpanzees up close and learn more about their behavior and habitat.
Kibale Forest National Park is a rainforest that is home to more than 1500 chimpanzees, so we will have a great chance to observe them grooming themselves, establishing relationships, raising their young and sharing their food. In addition, the rainforest is home to 9 other different species of monkeys, such as red colobus and red-tailed monkeys, so we will also have the opportunity to see them in their natural habitat.
After the hike, we will make a trip to the Reina Isabel National Park, crossing the beautiful region of the crater lakes, which will allow us to enjoy the panoramic views and natural beauty of the area before arriving at our lodge.
We will stay at the Bufallo Safari Lodge, where we can rest and relax in a spectacular natural environment. This lodge offers breathtaking views of the national park, where you can see animals such as lions, elephants, buffalo, among others. It will be a unique and unforgettable experience in the middle of nature.

DAY 6 (08-24-23): QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Begin your adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park with an exciting early morning safari in search of the park's wildlife. We will have the opportunity to observe and photograph a wide variety of animals, including members of the "Big 5" (Elephants, Buffalo, Lions, Leopards and Rhinos), as well as other park residents such as warthogs and hyenas.
After a morning full of exciting sightings, we will take a moment to relax and enjoy a leisurely 2-hour cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel at sunset. This 36 km canal links Lake George to Lake Edward and is home to a variety of aquatic animals, such as hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as an impressive number of birds that inhabit the banks of the canal.
It will be a unique and unforgettable experience in which we will be able to enjoy the beauty and wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park in all its splendor.

DAY 7 (25-08-23): WALK THROUGH KYAMBURA VILLAGE AND TRANSFER TO ISHASH SECTOR (QUEEN ELIZABETH NP).
In the morning, we will enter the village of Kyambura on a guided walk, where we will learn about the daily life of the locals in this rural area of Uganda. It will be an enriching experience to learn about their culture and way of life.
After our hike, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch before beginning our adventure to the southern sector of Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, we will pass through the park and have the opportunity to see elephants, monkeys, beautiful birds and, if we are lucky, even lions in their natural habitat.
Finally, we will arrive at Enjojojo Lodge in the late afternoon, where we can relax and enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the tranquility of the place.

DAY 8 (08-26-23): GAME DRIVE IN THE ISHASA SECTOR - TRANSFER TO BWINDI
Early in the morning we will enter the vast savannah of the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP, known for its tree-climbing lions. Here we will have the opportunity to spot Topis, buffalo, elephants and hopefully find the lions resting in the tree branches.
This is one of the two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of climbing trees, which makes this safari a unique and unforgettable experience.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Bwindi National Park.

DAY 9 (08-27-23): GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of the most spectacular places in the world, and home to the giants of the forest, the mountain gorillas. This day is the highlight of our Uganda Safari, and will be spent trekking through the forest to see these majestic primates.
Accompanied by an expert guide, we will walk through the beautiful nature of the impenetrable jungle, while learning about its ecosystem and its inhabitants. We will spend an hour with the mountain gorillas, a totally unforgettable experience that will allow us to observe these animals in their natural habitat.
In addition to the mountain gorillas, Bwindi's impenetrable jungle is teeming with life. Here we can find a great variety of birds, butterflies and plant species. It is also possible to observe jungle pigs, jungle elephants, sitatungas and dik dik in their natural habitat.

DAY 10 (08-28-23): TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI
After breakfast, we depart from the mountains and head towards Lake Bunyonyi, passing through cultivated hills and picturesque local villages.
At 1840 meters above sea level, Lake Bunyonyi offers stunning scenery ideal for an afternoon of rest and relaxation. A variety of optional activities are available, such as canoeing, hiking along the shores of the lake, and canoe trips to listen to the songs of small resident and exotic bird species. Please note that these activities are not included in the price and are optional.

DAY 11 (08-29-23): TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO AND GAME-DRIVE
After breakfast, we will leave the picturesque Lake Bunyonyi behind and start our journey to Lake Mburo National Park.
We will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and in the afternoon we will head into the park for a safari where we can see zebras, topi, warthogs, giraffes, buffaloes and impalas, and if we are lucky, even some leopards.
Our night's accommodation will be at Rwakobo Rock, a place surrounded by nature that will allow us to rest and enjoy a quiet and cozy atmosphere.
DAY 12 (08-30-23): EARLY MORNING SAFARI AND TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE
We will start early in the morning with an exciting safari from the lodge, where we will be able to spot zebras, waterbucks, various birds and buffalo in their natural habitat.
We will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading back to Entebbe.
On the way, we will make a brief stop at the Equator to have the unique experience of having one foot in each hemisphere, north and south.

DAY 13 (31-08-23): SEARCH FOR STORKS IN THE MABAMBA SWAMP - VISIT TO THE BOTANICAL GARDENS OF ENTEBBE - HANDICRAFT MARKET FOR SHOPPING.
Early in the morning, we will head to the Mabamba swamp to look for the impressive and rare prehistoric Shoebill bird in its natural habitat.
Afterwards, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the handicrafts market to do some last minute souvenir shopping.
Finally, we will transfer to the airport for our overnight flight home.

DAY 11 (08-29-23): TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO AND GAME-DRIVE
After breakfast, we will leave the picturesque Lake Bunyonyi behind and start our journey to Lake Mburo National Park.
We will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and in the afternoon we will head into the park for a safari where we can see zebras, topi, warthogs, giraffes, buffaloes and impalas, and if we are lucky, even some leopards.
Our night's accommodation will be at Rwakobo Rock, a place surrounded by nature that will allow us to rest and enjoy a quiet and cozy atmosphere.
DAY 12 (08-30-23): EARLY MORNING SAFARI AND TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE
We will start early in the morning with an exciting safari from the lodge, where we will be able to spot zebras, waterbucks, various birds and buffalo in their natural habitat.
We will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading back to Entebbe.
On the way, we will make a brief stop at the Equator to have the unique experience of having one foot in each hemisphere, north and south.

DAY 13 (31-08-23): SEARCH FOR STORKS IN THE MABAMBA SWAMP - VISIT TO THE BOTANICAL GARDENS OF ENTEBBE - HANDICRAFT MARKET FOR SHOPPING.
Early in the morning, we will head to the Mabamba swamp to look for the impressive and rare prehistoric Shoebill bird in its natural habitat.
Afterwards, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the handicrafts market to do some last minute souvenir shopping.
Finally, we will transfer to the airport for our overnight flight home.

GENERAL CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation and refund
We understand that attendance at our Workshops requires a prior commitment, and also that things may happen in life that force you to cancel a trip. Depending on the date of cancellation, the following conditions apply:
More than 4 months before the start of the workshop: 100% of the amount paid to date will be reimbursed.
Less than 4 months before the start of the workshop: 50% of the amount paid to date will be refunded.
Less than 2 months before the start of the workshop: no refunds will be made.The reservation deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to another workshop in any scenario.
Responsibility
Health - Participants must be in generally good health. Any medical or dietary restrictions must be communicated to us well in advance. We will inform the relevant provider of your requirements, but we cannot guarantee that all requirements will be met and have no liability to you if they are not.
Vaccinations, obtaining visas and all other travel or medical arrangements are the responsibility of the participant. We advise you to check the latest advice online or consult your doctor.
Cancellation by Namaste Photo Tours - Namaste is not responsible for events beyond its control, such as strikes, wars, acts of government, acts of terrorism, epidemics, or any other cause beyond its control, which may make it impossible, illegal or inadvisable to carry out the tour.
If there are compelling reasons for Namaste Photo Tours to cancel a tour, all payments received will be refunded immediately.
This refund will be the limit of Namaste Photo Tours' liability.
Namaste Photo Tours is not responsible for any expenses incurred by participants in preparation for the trip, including non-refundable airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees, or other travel-related expenses.
We advise you to wait with the purchase of airline tickets until the minimum number of participants has been reached.
