It is undoubtedly one of the most recommended places for hiking and one of the most unique places in the world. Bemaraha National Park is located in the western part of Madagascar, next to the small town of Bekopaka, and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990.

It occupies an area of more than 152,000 hectares and must be visited on foot. The park was created in the 1980s and was the third major national park on the island, after Ambre Mountain and Isalo. Its entire extension can be considered a true sanctuary for the island's endemic flora and fauna species. More than 800 species of plants, 11 species of primates, including the propithecus Deckenii, 84 species of reptiles, 103 species of birds, 112 species of butterflies, 16 species of bats, 34 species of amphibians... have been recorded in this national park.

The park has an ecoregional endemism of 47% and an overall endemism of 86.7%. The biological diversity of the park, combined with its spectacular landscapes, make it a must-see for all travelers visiting Madagascar. Tsingy is located in the Sakalava ethnic region, one of the most numerous and interesting on the island. Tsingy offers a landscape full of canyons, gorges, caves, stoneware peaks of various colors ranging from red to pink through ocher, limestone massifs and granites sculpted throughout history by water and winds. These are limestones (ancient seabeds), karst (called paleokars) from the Jurassic period, when the island was submerged in its northwestern part.
