Join this 10-day photography tour in Iceland and enjoy the best natural light and the most breathtaking views in the south of the country. This is a great opportunity to photograph the incredible winter landscapes and northern lights, while learning new techniques from award-winning photographic guides who will take your skills to the next level.
You'll travel in a comfortable vehicle through the iconic frozen landscapes of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, capturing sights such as Mount Kirkjufell and the black church of Búðir. In addition, you'll visit Iceland's stunning South Coast to see ice caves, the glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón, Diamond Beach and numerous waterfalls.
Iceland is one of the best places to capture the incredible Northern Lights dancing in the dark Arctic sky. Your guides will keep an eye on the weather conditions and aurora forecasts, so you can photograph it in the most spectacular landscapes.
At Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and Diamond Beach you'll have plenty of opportunities to photograph huge icebergs and chunks of ancient ice calved from the nearby Breiðmerkurjökull Glacier in Vatnajökull National Park.

Day 1 (18-03-2024). Arrival - Reykjavik
The first day begins with your arrival at Keflavík International Airport (KEF), where we will be waiting to welcome you to Iceland.
Afterwards we will transfer to the hotel in Reykjavik (50 minutes drive) where you can rest.
Around 4:00 pm, the whole group will meet in the hotel lobby to get to know each other, take a walk around the city and then go to dinner.

Days 2 and 3 (19/20-03-2024). Snaefellsnes
Today, after a great breakfast, we drive to the Snæfellsnes peninsula, which boasts some of the most photogenic scenery in the whole country.
Wild coastlines, the spectacular basalt column cliffs of Arnarstapi, the enchanting black church of Búðir, the lava field of Búðahraun, the impressive and peculiar sea pillars of Lóndrangar and the iconic volcanic mountain Kirkjuffel await you.
Snæfellsnes is also one of the best places in Iceland to see one of the absolute wonders of nature, the Northern Lights, so open your eyes and get your camera ready!

Day 4 (21-03-2024). Snaefellsnes-Seljalandsfoss-Skogafoss-Reynisfjara .
After the sunrise session at Kirkjufell, we will make our way to the epic scenery of Iceland's south coast.
Along the way, we'll stop at the glorious Seljalandsfoss, a beautiful waterfall that you can take a 360-degree tour of. In winter the rocks surrounding this waterfall can be frozen, making for perfect close-ups for all the pictures.
Nearby is the magnificent Skogafoss waterfall, a thundering giant with a dizzying 60-metre drop. You can get up close to this beast to capture the texture of the water rushing into the river below, or simply stand back where you can shoot the waterfall framed by snow-capped cliffs.
Our sunset photo shoot will be on the beautiful black sand beach of Reynisfjara.
In the evening, let's explore the possibility of photographing the Northern Lights.

Day 5 (22-03-2024). Vatnajökull National Park
Today we will head to Vatnajokull National Park, spending the morning photographing its incredible landscapes of lava rocks, glistening glacier tongues, impressive waterfalls and long stretches of desert-like black sand dotted with glistening white snow.
The afternoon will be spent in the serenity of the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where large icebergs float on the glassy surface of the water before drifting out to sea.
As the sun begins to set, we will head to the diamond beach, for a chance to capture the glorious sunlight shining through the chunks of ice on the shore. This beach is perfect for practicing long exposure techniques, as the waves sweep over the icebergs sitting on the black sand, creating a dreamy slow motion effect.
In the evening, let's explore the possibility of photographing the Northern Lights.

Day 6 (23-03-2024). Vatnajökull National Park
This morning we return to the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon for a leisurely sunrise photo session.
Today we will have the possibility to visit and photograph an ice cave, duration of the excursion 4 hours, this activity is optional and is not included in the price of the trip.
Price of the cave visit: $195.
We will spend the rest of the day photographing some of the beautiful locations in this area.
At night we can have another opportunity to photograph the Northern Lights, we will try to capture it on the lagoon of the Jokulsarlon glacier or the nearby Fjallsarlon.

Day 7 (24-03-2024). Vatnajökull National Park - Höfn
Sunrise on Diamond Beach.
After breakfast, we will drive to the Stokksnes Peninsula, home to the impressive Vestrahorn Mountain.
This mountain has been dubbed "Batman Mountain" because of its jagged peaks, resembling the iconic superhero himself. Its foreground is filled with compositions, from rolling black sand dunes in the snow, to grass crops and icy puddles. Depending on the tide, we may be able to photograph Vestrahorn's reflection on the nearby beach, or the waves breaking around him.
We will continue to photograph in Vestrahorn until the sun sets, hoping that the northern lights will spread over this impressive mountain.

Day 8 (25-03-2024). Höfn - Vik
We will enter the Skaftafell Nature Reserve, famous for its beautiful scenery. Here, you can photograph glacier tongues, lagoons, the peaks of majestic snow-capped mountains, frozen waterfalls and rivers flowing from glaciers.
For sunset, we will return along the south coast towards Reynisfjara beach, where we will capture the Reynisdrangar sea stacks from a different angle. It will be the perfect setting for photographing the aurora, if it appears during the night.

Day 9 (26-03-2024). Geysir - Gullfoss - Þingvellir National Park - Keflavik
Today will be spent exploring the three main attractions of the Golden Circle Route: Þingvellir National Park, the geothermal area of Geysir, and the Gullfoss waterfall.
Þingvellir is a UNESCO heritage site in Iceland that lies within a valley of the rift caused by the separation of two tectonic plates.
There are many compositions here, including rocky cliffs and huge fissures enveloped by snow. The highlight of our visit will be the impressive Öxarárfoss waterfall that flows from the Öxará River over the Almannagjá. The pool at the base of the waterfall is filled with boulders and, depending on conditions, there may be cracks in the ice that make for wonderful driving lines.
In the geothermal area of Geysir, you will have the opportunity to photograph the Strokkur geyser that erupts every few minutes, almost 20 meters high in the air!
Meanwhile, the nearby Gullfoss waterfall offers a spectacular view of the forces of nature.
When we have finished photographing along the Golden Circle, we will return to Reykjavík for the last dinner of the group.

Day 10 (27-03-2024)End of trip.
After breakfast, we will go to the international airport of Keflavik, for our return flight.

Day 1 (18-03-2024). Arrival - Reykjavik
The first day begins with your arrival at Keflavík International Airport (KEF), where we will be waiting to welcome you to Iceland.
Afterwards we will transfer to the hotel in Reykjavik (50 minutes drive) where you can rest.
