During these 10 days, you will travel in a comfortable vehicle while exploring the wintry landscapes of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. You will have the opportunity to capture the majesty of Mount Kirkjufell and the unique atmosphere of the black church of Búðir. In addition, you will venture to Iceland's breathtaking South Coast, where you will witness the amazing ice caves, the impressive glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón, the iconic Diamond Beach and many iconic waterfalls.

Iceland is world renowned as one of the best places to photograph the magical Northern Lights, and our guides will keep an eye on weather conditions and aurora forecasts to take you to the most spectacular locations and help you capture these wonders on your camera.

At Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and Diamond Beach, you will have countless opportunities to photograph huge icebergs and fragments of ancient ice breaking off from the nearby Breiðmerkurjökull Glacier in Vatnajökull National Park.

Day 1 (26-02-2024). Arrival - Keflavik - Reykjavik

The first day begins with your arrival at Keflavík International Airport (KEF), where we will be waiting to welcome you to Iceland.

Afterwards, we will transfer to the hotel in Reykjavik (a 50-minute drive) where you will be able to rest.

Around 4:00 pm, the whole group will meet in the hotel lobby to get to know each other, take a walk around the city and then go to dinner as a group.

Days 2 and 3 (27/28-02-2024). Snaefellsnes Peninsula

Today, after a great breakfast, we drive to the Snæfellsnes peninsula (approx. 3h), which has some of the most photogenic landscapes in the whole country.

Wild coastlines, the spectacular basalt column cliffs of Arnarstapi, the enchanting black church of Búðir, thelava field of Búðahraun, the impressive and peculiar sea pillars of Lóndrangar and the iconic volcanic mountain Kirkjuffel await you.

Snæfellsnes is also one of the best places in Iceland to see one of the absolute wonders of nature, the Northern Lights, so keep your eyes open and your camera ready!

Day 4 (29-02-2024). Snaefellsnes - Kvernufoss - Skogafoss

After enjoying a sunrise session at Kirkjufell, we will embark on a journey to the breathtaking scenery of Iceland's southern coast (approximately 5 hours driving).

Our first photo stop will take us to the beautiful Kvernufoss waterfall, where we can capture its splendor.

Next, we'll head to the nearby stunning Skogafoss waterfall, a thundering colossus with a dizzying 60-meter drop. You will have the opportunity to get up close to this towering natural wonder to capture the mesmerizing texture of the water rushing into the river below.

In the evening, we will explore the possibility of photographing the magical northern lights.

Day 5 (01-03-2024). Vatnajökull National Park

Today we will enter the majestic Vatnajokull National Park, where we will spend the morning capturing the breathtaking beauty of its varied landscape. From lava sculptures to glistening glacier tongues, stunning waterfalls and vast stretches of black sand, resembling a desert decorated with the purity of white snow.

In the afternoon, we will plunge into the serenity of the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Here, immense icebergs float on the calm, crystal-clear surface of the water before setting off on their journey to the sea. This scenery provides a magical setting for photography, where we can capture the majesty of nature at its best.

As the sun begins to set, we will head to the famous "Diamond Beach". Here, you will have the opportunity to immortalize the glorious sunlight filtering through the chunks of ice that decorate the shore of the beach. The combination of the ice on the black sand and the golden light of the sunset creates an atmosphere that looks like something out of a dream and is perfect for experimenting with long exposure techniques. The waves lapping the icebergs on the black sand create a slow motion effect that adds a magical touch to your photographs.

As night falls, we will continue our search and exploration in search of the mysterious northern lights, ready to capture their dance in the sky.

Day 6 (02-03-2024). Vatnajökull National Park

We start this new morning with a return to the incredible Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon or Diamond Beach, where the sunrise light paints a dreamlike landscape. It will be the perfect setting for a quiet photo session, where we will capture the majesty of the icebergs and the surrounding environment.

The day promises to be exciting, as we offer a unique opportunity to visit and photograph an ice cave. This 4-hour experience will immerse you in a subway world of glacial wonders. The option to participate in this activity is completely yours, and is priced at $195 per person. It is not included in the initial cost of the trip, but the opportunity to capture the unique beauty of these ice formations is well worth it.

After our exploration of the ice cave, we will spend the rest of the day photographing the wonderful locations in this area. From the impressive glaciers and waterfalls to the black sand landscapes, you will have time to immortalize these natural treasures on your camera.

With the arrival of nightfall, we will once again search for the elusive northern lights. We will venture out to try to capture this natural phenomenon over the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon or the nearby Fjallsarlon, where the combination of northern lights and their reflection on the water will add a magical touch to your images.

Day 7 (03-03-2024). Vatnajökull National Park - Höfn

We begin this exciting day with a sunrise session at the famous "Diamond Beach". This magical setting offers a unique opportunity to capture the first light of day filtering through the shards of ice that adorn the shore of the beach. The combination of the icebergs on the black sand and the golden light of the sunrise will create a breathtaking atmosphere for your photographs.

After recharging with a delicious breakfast, we will head towards the Stokksnes Peninsula, where the impressive Vestrahorn Mountain awaits. With its jagged peaks, it is often nicknamed "Batman Mountain", evoking the figure of the iconic superhero. This environment will give us a variety of compositions to explore, from rolling black sand dunes that blend with the snow to grassy fields and frozen puddles.

The opportunity to capture the Vestrahorn mountain reflecting on the nearby beach or to photograph the waves crashing around it will depend on the tidal conditions, making each visit to this place unique.

We will continue photographing the magnificent scenery of the Vestrahorn until sunset, hoping that the Northern Lights will paint the sky with their magical colors over this iconic mountain.

Day 8 (04-03-2024). Höfn - Hvolsvöllur

Today we will enter the breathtaking Skaftafell Nature Reserve, a photographer's paradise known for its sublime landscapes. Here, you will have the opportunity to capture a diversity of natural wonders, from glacier tongues to serene lagoons, majestic snow-capped mountain peaks, frozen waterfalls and rivers flowing from glaciers. Every corner of this place will provide you with a unique opportunity to compose spectacular images.

And if luck is on our side and the aurora borealis decides to make its appearance at night, we will look for a location close to our hotel to photograph it.

Day 9 (05-03-2024): The Splendor of the Golden Circle and Return to Keflavik

On this day, our itinerary will take us through the three main jewels of the Golden Circle, but in a slightly different order to offer a fresh and exciting experience.

We will start the day at the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, where you will be able to contemplate the spectacular view of nature in action. This powerful waterfall will provide you with the opportunity to capture its magnitude and beauty in your photographs.

Afterwards, we will drive to the exciting geothermal area of Geysir. Here you will have the chance to photograph the Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes, spewing water and steam to an astonishing height of almost 20 meters. Capturing this impressive geothermal phenomenon at the right moment is an exciting challenge for any photographer.

Finally, we will explore Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This valley in the rift between two tectonic plates offers a wide variety of photographic opportunities, from its rocky cliffs to the extensive snow-covered fissures. Our highlight here will be the impressive Öxarárfoss waterfall, which cascades from the Öxará River over the Almannagjá.

Once we have completed our exploration of Þingvellir, we will return to Keflavik to enjoy our final group dinner. This is the perfect time to share reflections and experiences from our unforgettable photographic journey through Iceland.

Day 10 (06-03-2024). Keflavik - End of the trip.

After breakfast, we will go to the international airport of Keflavik, for our return flight.

We understand that attending our trips requires a prior commitment and also that things may happen in life that force you to cancel a trip. Depending on the date of cancellation, the following conditions apply:

- More than 150 days before the beginning of the trip: 100% of the amount paid to date will be refunded.

- Between 150 and 91 days before the start of the trip: 50% of the amount paid to date will be refunded.

- 90-46 days prior to departure: 35% of the amount paid to date will be refunded.

- Within 45 days prior to the start of the workshop: No refund.

The photo tour always depends on the weather conditions, as the weather in Iceland can be really unpredictable.

Regarding the Northern Lights, although it is very likely that they can be seen during the month of September, it cannot be guaranteed that they will be visible on any given day of the tour.
